Publishers will need to implement a CMP ("cookie message") on their website that supports the IAB TCF v2 standard (we recommend www.consentmanager.net).
A) If the Publisher uses an Async creative, the ad server takes care of collecting all the necessary information from the CMP. The Publisher does not need to make any updates on the creative link.
B) If the Publisher uses a script / iframe creativity, our Adserver will automatically retrieve the GDPR consent string. The Publisher does not need to make any updates on the creative link.
C) If the Publisher uses a URL (view-pixel, banner-url, click url), the website will have to collect the TC string from the CMP and pass it to the URL as a parameter &gdpr_consent=...
To manually pass the consent string, you need to add the &gdpr_consent=.... parameters to the creative code.
The publisher must pass one or more of the following parameters, depending on whether a CMP is used. The &gdpr_consent= parameter can be 1 or 0
1 = the GDPR applies to the user, e.g. the user is in the EU;
0 = the GDPR does not apply to the user
